Excellence in Technology Award
The user interface that is available in the administrative area helps in scheduling conferences. Once the event is scheduled the software sends email invites to the participants. The participants have the option of accessing the scheduled sessions either through the administration site or through the link that is sent along with the invite. The software uses the SmartPush technology to save bandwidth, which helps in copying information to the individual PCs before the session.
The iLinc communication suite confirms to Secured Socket Layer (SSL) standards for encryption of front-end transactions. The communication center can be secured during registration, content download and upload, scheduling and management functions. The iLinc client works by downloading an Advanced Encryption standard (AES) encryption key to secure transactions such as text chat, images, audio, video and application sharing, something that is done through SSL so that the key is secured. All session data is encrypted via this key. The process of encryption and decryption of the data at the client end ensures strict levels of end-to-end security. The client secures critical data at the remote server by following a dual security approach, thereby allowing the server to offer efficient performance.
In summary, Frost & Sullivan’s Award for Excellence in Technology of the Year acknowledges iLinc Communications for its outstanding contributions towards the development of web conferencing software that addresses the needs of users from both inside and outside the network, and facilitates creation of a secured collaborative environment.
