Information for Development Program (infoDev) 

A global grant programme to promote projects on the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for economic and social development, with an emphasis on the needs of the poor in developing countries.

The eLearning initiative of the European Commission seeks to mobilise the educational and cultural communities, as well as the economic and social players in Europe, in order to speed up changes in the education and training systems for Europe's move to a knowledge-based society.

Uganda Participatory Development Network (UPDNet) - Uganda - a loose association of about 30 organisations and individuals interested in promoting participatory techniques for community development.  They provide an opportunity for practitioners to meet, discuss and exchange experience and they organize workshops on specific themes relevant to the use and development of Participatory Techniques in Uganda.

Fundación Cabo San Francisco - Ecuador - an NGO working in the fields of education, health and the environment that has constructed an optimal water supply system and a school for the community.  They are seeking funders and technical assistance to continue their projects.

Development Education Program's The Development Education Program (DEP) team designs tools and resources to help teachers and students, principally at the secondary school level, study - and think critically about - the often complex social, economic, and environmental issues of sustainable development affecting their countries, their regions, and the world. The Development Education Program is part of the World Bank Institute (WBI).

World Links is a global learning network linking thousands of students and teachers around the world via the Internet for collaborative projects and integration of technology into learning. The core "value-added" of World Links is its training program, designed to help teachers and students learn to use information and communication technologies (particularly the Internet) to improve teaching and learning.

INFOYOUTH - UNESCO's international information and data exchange network. Works to spread information on youth, improve awareness and understanding of the problems and expectations of young people in different types of societies, back innovative projects aimed at stimulating the active participatio<<Selection in Document>>n of young people in the political, economic and cultural life of society, facilitate the design of national and international policies and programmes for young people, and organise computer training activities for underprivileged young people. Asha for Education(TM) - An Action Group For Basic Education in India

Asha for Education - India - an action group for basic education for underprivileged children in India, with 35 chapters in the USA, India, Singapore, England, Australia, and Canada.  Asha is run by an all-volunteer force, has a flat structure and zero overhead costs, and supports over 100 secular and apolitical projects.  Identifying, researching, owning, funding, and sustaining projects forms the core of Asha's activities.  Asha-Computers is a focus group within Asha that is exploring the use of computers for basic education.

Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE)
is a worldwide network of students, teachers, and scientists working together to study and understand the global environment. Students and teachers from over 5000 schools in more than 70 countries are working with research scientists to learn more about our planet.
